Description

A classic tale of boy-meets-girl, plant-eats-people featuring Jack Nicholson (Batman, Chinatown, The Shining) in one of his first film roles. Seymour's exotic plant has an insatiable appetite only for blood and flesh. As the ruthless plant grows larger with each feeding, so does Seymour's affections for shop girl, Audrey. The madness culminates with Seymour and his bloodthirsty plant in a feeding frenzy of epic proportions! Now you can watch it in color for the first time.

  • A Cult Classic that Shines in Color!

I believe most people know this film well -- it's a Roger Corman classic that should have a home in every cult/horror film collection. It's the tale of bumbling Seymour who, unbeknowst to his ditzy love, insane and drunken mother and overbearing boss has bred a singularly horrific (and thoroughly enjoyable) plant -- a plant that must feed on blood to survive. As the plant's appetite grows larger and larger, Seymour must decide how far he is willing to go to keep it happy. I must say that I've seen this film many times, but I never considered that I'd care for it in color. Happily, I found that the colors are done so well that after a moment or two, it simply seemed that color was the movie's native format. An extra plus: the image quality (sharpness, grain, restoration) is great compared to other versions of this that I have seen and/or owned in B&W. This is certainly the version to get! Highly recommended!
