  • Lots to appreciate!

This movie is the best of all of the "makes" of this story. I'm not sure if it's because it was made in the 30's or what but I love this movie because of it's well captured representation of the innocence that seems to only have existed in yesteryear. I watch this movie EVERY year around the holidays because it helps me forget the chaos of my daily reality and takes me to a time that seemed that big joy came in "little" packages. I'm only 33yrs old but this is a gem of a flick!
  • Nothing little about this movie.

Wonderfully warm and charming. True to the book. A true meaning to the words a classic. Katharine Hepburn is outstanding as always as she brilliantly brings to life Jo March. I have watched this movie time and again and never tire of it. It shows family life in struggle and yet stays together. Despite hardship they love, laugh and move forward.
