Multi-layered story, weaving together the lyrics of Springsteen with the challenges of coming of age, family bonds, prejudices, first loves, best friends, and discovering and claiming your own true self. Also - just a great movie!

I throughly enjoyed this movie. I was glued to for the duration. As an 80s kid it brought back fond memories. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of 80s music

Outstanding movie. I have had the (possibly) unique experience of growing up in the 1970’s and 1980’s Bronx AND living just outside of Luton, Bedfordshire, England in the mid 2000’s. Bruce spoke to my 16,17,& 18 year old self just as he did to young Javid, in the same way, in the same universal language, and with the same impact. Great movie, great message, great messenger! Don’t back down, don’t give up, don’t give in, don’t let them drag you down! When they said sit down, I stood up! “Roy Orbison sang “Only for the Lonely”, hey that’s me and I want you only”! The best of all of us, for all of us. Because, “Tramps like us, baby.........”
