Monte (Robert Pattinson) and his baby daughter are the last survivors of a damned and dangerous mission to the outer reaches of the solar system. The crew—death-row inmates led by a doctor (Juliette Binoche) with sinister motives—has vanished. As the mystery of what happened onboard the ship is unraveled, father and daughter must rely on each other to survive as they hurtle toward the oblivion of a black hole. A staggering and primal film about love and intimacy, suffused with anguished memories of a lost Earth, High Life is a haunting, thrilling achievement from visionary director Claire Denis.

  • Awful. Just awful

Waste of time. No redeeming qualities at all.
  • Gave Up

I’m a huge sci-fi fan, and I tried to push through but nothing in the beginning made me want to keep watching. More specifically, a large portion of the beginning is a baby crying which was just brutal and really started to be grating. It felt like this movie needed better editing. Just utterly boring and unpleasant to watch / hear.
  • Horrible... HOW is THIS TRAINWRECK 83%?

When the movie starts with a baby SCREAMING for 10 minutes, I want my money back! Guess Robert Patterson has to pay his rent when he volunteered to make this baby screaming movie! Wow. If. I want to hear a baby screaming for 2 hours, I’ll visit a child care center. Horrific movie.
  • Should not have been made.

This movie is awful. Not sure why anyone involved decided this was a good idea. Terrible story. Boring. Difficult to watch. Luckily I only paid 99 cents for it.
  • So slow and pointless

Don’t spend any money on this art house disaster. Just watch Interstellar again. Really, any other movie in space is better than this. It’s also on prime
  • Very...Underwhelming

The preview, makes this seem like a fast pace, thriller of some sort with the bonus of being an “artistic” film. That is what intrigued me enough to rent and watch it. It’s a bizarre film, slow, if you’re not the type of person who appreciates “deep” films with symbolism, metaphors, etc, I’d recommend passing on viewing. I’m into movies that are true works of art myself, but this one just doesn’t achieve its goal.
  • You can keep the 99 cents for the rental

For the powerful emperor, for the wise king, this lofty mountain of silver could conquer the world.” So read the engraving on an ornate shield sent by Spain’s King Felipe II in 1561 as a gift to the city of Potosí, in what is now southern Bolivia. Tempus fugit - and whatever men dreamed of, most came reality. So watch this movie imagining living in the 16th century, listening to the guy nex to you digging for siliver on mount Potosi, talking about facetime.
